Interesting WA play NSW in NZ in a historical game. S.Marsh has been selected in the one dayer I think which is a shame, would have been handy for the Warriors and Kwagia deserves a spot in the ODI`s I reckon, form bat in the world

The 2 states meet again on Valentines Day in Perth
New South Wales are playing their home match in New Zealand
Who made this decision to play a game in NZ ?
Speaking of decisions WA won the toss and elected to put the opposition in
So far so bad

Thats the Sheffield Shield batting career of Jake Lehmann so far
Can he get a BIG score day 4 and win the game for SA ?
I reckon too many runs to chase down on day 4
Freddymercurysland should win this easily

Looks like they will shake hands soon, got no idea why they would play it there, it makes as much sense as playing AFL there

NS 402
WA 491
NS 5/155
Bad outcome for both teams, no outright win
Adam Voges made 149 run out , sill in amazing form
I agree with Swandog , why play this game in NZ ?
SA 244 chasing 418
Dan Worrall batting eleven made 3
Every other batsman made double figures
34-33-36-11-14-12-14-43-22-17
Thats disappointing
VI thrashed Tasmania , and get a break on SA , on the ladder

they played in New Zealand so the Australian team could promote/demote players without flying in replacements, lets face it, any NSW player when first selected gets a baggy green at the same time he gets his Blue cap

SHEFFIELD SHIELD LADDER
35.87 VICTORIA
28.65 SOUTH AUSTRALIA
27.75 QUEENSLAND
26.37 NEW SOUTH WALES
23.69 WESTERN AUSTRALIA
12.79 TASMANIA
Games to be played starting 14/2/2016
SA V VI
QL V TA
WA V NS
4 Games left for the season
At this stage its probably a matter of who is going to play VI in the SS final
That changes if SA get maximum points against the Vics
Might be a good time to get them on the 14th

Is it time for Tom cooper to get dropped from the red backs side. I my mind I think it's time to bring in a new face. Josh Barrett would be my pick for the game vs Victoria.

Cooper has had a lot of failures this year. One big score?

without Ferguson & the team sitting second, yes second why make big changes that could lead to team unrest etc

but the guy is doing nothing, why not put a young guy in who might do something. If he fails then no loss but he gains a few games under his belt.bayman wrote:Lee wrote:

This is the problem with SA cricket we sit back and wait. It's time to take a punt.

SHEFFIELD SHIELD WINNER
Unitab odds
VI 1-50
NS 5-50
QL 5-50
SA 6-50
WA 17-00
TA 101-00
The odds change significantly if SA beat VI outright
SA has a good record against VI of late

the reason is simple, they are running second, not a win less last, as for the problem with S.A. cricket of ''sitting back & waiting'' as you say is usually there is no depth in South Australian cricket & the main reason is because the talent spreads thin because there are way too many teams in district cricket

Re: Sheffield Shield 2015-2016
If Victoria host the SS final they are likely to play the final in Alice Springs
If South Australia host the final it is going to be at Glenelg Oval
The MCG and Adelaide Oval are needed for football
BUT
Is this good enough for the showcase game of the SS season ?

The ACB should program the comp differently so it allows an earlier final.
Why have it clash with football anyway?
