Re: INS AND OUTS - 2017
Attitude problem from Glenn . Some good people he upset though and are you saying the coach had no say in it ?
I think the club need to stop looking back and saying Roy has the record as that will never cut it. Look forward not back.

Not saying the coach had no say in it, no...
His attitude was poor, prior to his AFL stint, but by all reports he has changed very much...
People change and deserve a second chance. The proof will be in the pudding. He'll either be a flop or will have a solid year...
The club isn't looking back, but while there is relatively sustained success, why change the coach?
Roy will almost certainly finish coaching on his own terms, unless there is a drastic drop down the ladder, I would have thought...
Until a candidate better than Roy Laird is available and the club feel they would be better suited in taking the club forward, Roy Laird will coach Central...

Agreed about the AFL comment...The Hatchet wrote:hard to see how nason will improve them much, hasnt done much since the afl.
He did end up playing SAAFL with Salisbury North late this season after leaving Glenelg...
He will add some much needed depth to the senior squad, which has lacked in the previous 2 or 3 seasons...

Jake out for 2017 recovering from knee reconstruction .... Travelling overseas.
Hitchcock ..... Not sure what the story is there..... But not really fussed to be honest.

Veide will be a loss for sure although Rolfe (if fit) will be a good replacement, I doubt Hitchcock will be missed

I'm not sure that is quite right, surprisingly Nason wasn't selected in the latter half of the year, to give "kids" some game time, well thats what we were told when raising questions

If there's concerns about Glenn's nature/behaviour/commitment then I think he's under the best coach he could be, as I doubt Roy would tolerate any disruption should it be forthcoming.checkside wrote:Veide a loss for Souths . Nason back at central ?
Josh Glenn upset a few I thought . Why would Central have either of the back ? What is Laird doing ?

On recent form Anderson and perhaps Tahana are the only major losses. Thiele has been a fine player but he never seemed to completely recover from his bad knee injury. Amato has slipped back alarmingly. Perhaps he needs a change of scenery.
In these days of precision kicking both Anderson, Thiele and Amato have all been found wanting. Thiele and Amato like so many left footers looked stylish but they both had trouble "weighting" the ball.
