A lot of different ways money can come into it though, whether it be the combination of employment if required, cap space with an eye toward other recruits and wages, or even just a differing view of a players value vs what another club is prepared to pay.

Many Sturt supporters have been bemoaning McKenzie going from the AFL system to another SANFL club, be interesting to see how they take this one Laughing

I'll tip getting Scott McMahon this year is a better result than missing out on McKenzie next year, this is said without disrespect to him

I think will be a good get for the Bloods...

I like him off a half-back flank, running and carrying the footy to set up play, further up the ground...

Could be a bit Scott Bricknell like for you guys, Lee...

Another OUT for the Eagles...

Hard to say because we havent seen McKenzie yet, but when Sturt picked up McMahon I thought at the time he was that wise head, good hands and good decisions under pressure player that every club needs come finals time. Worked out that way and Sturt were well rewarded for their scouting and recruiting. My last point was more a minor dig at supporters having a sook when their own club does the same thing.

From Glenelg FC...

We are pleased to announce that Liam McBean (ex-Richmond) has agreed to join the Glenelg Tigers next year. Liam is a key forward/ruckman who is 2.02 cm tall. Liam played five AFL games at Richmond over his four years.

Liam will offer great support to Josh Scott and Warrick McGinty during season 2017.

The club has also agreed on terms with West Adelaide for Tom Schott. Tom is a wingman/half forward who played 4 Senior games for West Adelaide and the State Under 18’s however was troubled by an ankle injury this year and managed just five games.

Jack Casey has joined the club from our country zone. Jack played with Kalangadoo (coached by former club captain Ben Mules) this year and won the medal in the Mid- South East Football League. He is a strong marking forward and an accurate kick.

They have lost a few .

Eagles have lost a few players . old guys retiring going home to victoria . Redden retiring wasnt old .
a fair few players that struggled to make the league team .
And a VFL player runner up in the medal went back to vic .
Can not argue eagles have lost a few around 14 or 15 rough guess
brought one player in so far

This would have to be considered as a 'rebuilding'. 14 or 15 is quite a lot I would have thought. I reckon Norwood would have been similar 12 months or so ago.

Even 3 time premiers like Hawthorn have to do that.

So if Godden and the Eagles consider some new cattle is necessary, it is understandable if he has assessed the list to see what the landscape might be over the next few seasons.

Micky, do you think some of these players might have had a suggestion to look elsewhere?

Good question i thought Bately may have taken over Jarrads spot . i guess not had a bad injury couple of years ago.
Some of the players left during 2016 season like appleton .
i am not getting alot out of the club i am hearing rumours of who the club is speaking to .
Also the talk is also certain seconds players stepping up and the likes of Rowntree will be like a new player in 2017

Didn't he play some footy for the Bloods at the start of the year, before heading to the Hills, of Blackwood?

I always remember seeing his Mum and Dad at the ground, from as early as 10am, sitting in the stands, ready to watch him play 2's.
