2.1 LARS AND THE REAL GIRL[2007]
3 Ryan Gosling
I watched this movie for about 15 minutes and gave up
Gosling plays the part of a simple , and plays it poorly
When I see his Internet visitor, I gave up
GOSLING
Gosling got a Golden Globe award for his part
So the film did strike a cord
But not for me
Was it worth watching the rest of the film ?
I apologise if anyone is offended
I think Gosling is a fantastic actor , but the movie and his part turned me off

Paint Your Wagon.
Paint Your Wagon is a 1969 Western musical film set in a mining camp in Gold Rush-era California.
Lee Marvin...plays the perfect drunk, had a hit song with Wanderin' star. 10/10
Clint Eastwood...unusual to see the tough guy sing, but does a reasonable job. 9/10
Jean Seberg... A good looking sort indeed. 10/10 + +
Brilliant scenery, music is only to one's taste but overall a very good movie if you like a musical / western.
Rating 9/10

Paint Your Wagon
Yes a very funny movie
Jean Seberg is a stunner
First Blood
One of the most respected West Adelaide Players covered a song from this movie
Wand'rin Star
Neil King Knuckles Kerley
Just don't know why I like the song so much , Lee and Neil , are not Ray Davies or Elvis Presley standard
IATW
I liked Cat Ballou better than Paint Your Wagon

She was in her late 20s years old , and would be looking quite a piece
Played in a few Westerns in her time
She was on Bonanza on one occasion
She played a part as a compulsive gambler, and took Hoss for a ride

If I were rating Cat Ballou I'd rate Lee Marvin a 9 but his horse a 10 for their respective comic performances!

7 Heaven Can Wait (1978 version)
7 Warren Beatty
6 Julie Christie
Hadn't seen this Rom Com in a long while.
First saw it when I was about 16 and thought it was a good chuckle.
Now, it is probably a bit corny.
Julie Christie was pretty hot in her prime, but dressed like a 50 year old school marm in this. Didn't stop Wazza having a crack with her for a while.
But then which leading lady of the 60s and 70s didn't.
Look at the list.....
Natalie Wood - Splendour in the Grass
Faye Dunnaway - Bonnie and Clyde
Madonna - Dick Tracy
Julie Christie (again) & Goldie Hawn - Shampoo
Candice Bergen - ??
Angie Dickinson - ??
Annette Bening** - Bugsy
** Been married for 20+ years - must be a record for Wazza.
Dianne Keaton - Reds
Jane Fonda - ??
Leslie Caron - Gigi
Carly "Your So Vain" Simon
Brigitte Bardot - ??
Lizzie Taylor
...and the list is not exhaustive.
There was a biography of Wazza that claimed he slept with over 12,000 women. If that mark is even half right, the man should be dead or in a wheel chair.

Creature From The Black Lagoon (early 1950's)
starring
Richard Carlson..he's in a couple of 1950's sci fi films i like
Julia Adams...looks ok in the swimming scenes
Whit Bissell....one of my all time favourite character actors
----------------------------------------------------------------
to put it briefly a fossil is discovered & an archeological expedition begins & in turn they end up 'meeting' the creature in the black lagoon & he was also called a 'gill man' & 'man fish' in the film, it has a touch of King Kong to the story, as well as two of the main characters wanting the same woman (Julia Adams) & as the story progresses there is a subtle hint & clues that 'the creature' has as much intelligence as modern man, especially where he dams up the lagoon so the boat can not leave.....
while there is no special effects like we get today it is a film worth watching so if you can find it on dvd, video or on late night tv & you have just over an hour to spare it is worth a look, suitable for most ages..............
looking forward to watching other 1950's sci fi films such as
''It Came From Outer Space''
''Them''
''The Blob''
''The Giant Claw''
and a few more than that

Re: Movies you have scene [no spoilers]
I've probably seen Heaven Can Wait more than any other movie
It remains one of my very favorite movies
One of my male favorite actors
And my favorite female actresses
9.5 Heaven Can Wait
9 Wazza
10 Julie blue eyes Christie
Wazza
12000 !!!
If he slept with one woman per night
It equates to about 32 years of sleeping with a new one each time
Maybe he had a few threesomes
Perhaps several Fifteensomes to get the 12,000
Not many actresses have looked as good as Julie Christie did in Dr Zhivago
PS
The Giant Claw
A classic as well

Took poor old Hoss for a ride in a Bonanza Episode
Julia looked the part, but her card playing was poor

Come to think of it, I've never seen her without a smile on her face.
Wazza is certainly one of Hollywood's enigmas.
Has had some incredible highights and some equally incredible lowlights.
When you go through his filmography, there actually aren't as many movies he has appeared in than you would think.
I think this is because he has explored his own projects and producing, directing and writing involvements take time.
When you see the movies he could have been in and missed out on to concentrate on doing his own thing, it just shows how single-minded an individual he is.
I read that in Heaven Can Wait (a remake of the old Looking for Mr Jordan of 1941), it was supposed to be about a boxer not a football player. Wazza wanted Mohammed Ali to play the part, but it didn't fit with the great man's schedule. In the end, Wazza took on the role, but as he couldn't box, but could play football a bit, he made it into a football movie. It was also in the top 50 Rom Coms of all time. Wazza also offered Cary Grant a million bucks to play the role of Mr Jordan (taken on by James Mason), but he turned it down.

5.2 SPEED 1936]
7 James Stewart
7 Wendy Barrie
Superstar actor James Stewart is the reason I watched this movie
Predictable enough, gets a pass mark
Good to see old cars from the times being tested for speed and endurance
JAMES STEWART
Test car driver for a corporation
Stewart is proud of a revolutionary carby he has invented
Its meant to make cars go faster , so that's about the extent of the movie
Not one of Stewarts great performances , but gets the part done adequately
WENDY BARRIE
First time I've seen this vivacious actress
She takes an interest in James invention and James himself
I liked her part , a bubbly babe
As I said before, I watched it because I am a Jimmy Stewart fan
I cant really recommend the movie, but worth a look if nothing else to do
Barrie later hosted her own TV show
PS
James Stewart reminds me of Glen Mcgrath
Both tall
Both lean
Both have friendly faces
Both similar looking in mannerisms and when they get stroppy
You might need a lot of imagination to see a slight resemblance as well

Since when, Booney!
As for films, last two were 'The Battleship Potemkin', one of the all time greats and 'Leningrad Cowboys Go America', not one of the all time greats.
