Great stuff! Good to see them find some 'finishing skills' this season so far.

Is this the first ever game that was won by getting 5 penalty runs for the ball hitting a helmet?

NSW are annihilating Victoria (at one stage the Vics were 5/5) so we need an outright win to stay on top of the table. Looking good at the moment, 400 ahead with 4 wickets down.

Vics were 7/32, ended up making around 180 odd. Maxwell 127 off 102 balls with 14 4s and 7 6s. Also scored 94 in the first innings. Man of the Match in a team that lost by an innings.
Re: Cricket - First Class 2013/14
Qld needing about 500 are 0/118 so far.

yep by 5 wickets, Kawaja got an unbeaten 180 odd
i think with thunderstorms forecasted we declared earlier trying to get a result & unfortunately the forecast was wrong, but at least they tried winning it rather than being happy with '2 points' it now opens it up for WA to replace us or NSW in the top two & perhaps Queensland is a rough hope as well
looking forward to the day/night Shield match coming up, will be going in after work on all 4 days
