Ashes 21-22
New captain, new keeper, return of Travis Head, a cloud over Starc and the ever present "13th man" in Candice Warner - are we a chance?

With the tab.....to win the series.....
Australia $1.30
England $5.00
Drawn series $8.50
we might win the series but surely $1.30 is way way too short, it looks more even to me, i am tempted to back England & and save on the Drawn series

Re: Ashes 21-22
I wonder what they are after yesterday?
I also wonder if Starc's first ball stuffed a sock in Warney's gob?
The only thing Cummins lost was the toss and I think that was a win. Conditions seemed to give enough swing assistance to the bowlers and England seem a bit underdone with no leaad up prep in Australia.

Well that's 2 - zip and I cannot foresee;
- England making a decent enough score to win a test. Root and Malan aside the rest have been ordinary.
- England's bowlers, even the credentialed ones like Broad and the aging Anderson, having enough penetration to limit Australia's scoring potential. And we haven't set the world on fire yet form-wise. England are missing the fiery bounce of Joffra Archer big time.
- Buttler staying the 5 tests behind the stumps. Bairstow might just get a gig sometime soon.
And the Aussies....
- Harris remaining for the 5 tests. Looks brittle.
- Richardson will be stiff to leave out for boxing day. He looked pretty slippery in England's second dig.
- Neser was pretty solid also on debut. If all are healthy our bowling stocks are pretty rich at the moment.
- Green needs to find a few runs now that he has a few tests under his belt.
- Carey's glove-work will, I think, consign Paine to the list of ex-test cricketers.

Re: Ashes 21-22
From what Ive seen, England have bowled well enough long enough , without much reward
They have a good lot of fast bowlers
Probably 5-0 or 4-1
I post 4-1 as Broad, Anderson, Robinson , Stokes , Wood , Woakes is a very good attack [ especially in England] and they might bowl Australia out cheaply enough
In the batting, if they can get the talented Ollie Pope to make runs , that would be a BIG help

4-0 Australia, prob should have been 5-0 , but 4-0 will suffice
England's batting under performed for most of the series
The English bowlers probably deserve a pass mark overall
Should England find a couple of reliable batsman they could win back the Ashes on the next series in England
They have a BIG population and this gives them the opportunity to regenerate themselves
