Re: Ins and Outs 2018
Well done to Jake. I always thought he got the best out of himself and became a very good player.

You're right Micky...the eagles lost so many players in 2016 including the 2 highest paid in O'brien and Ainger..with very little incoming relying on reserves players to fill the gap..a lot of supporters were not happy at the lack of replacements so hopefully can make up for it this year.
So how far under the cap do you think the Eagles were this year, in order to accommodate this year's gains so far?

I’ve learnt since my injury don’t over think .
At a guess when the older players like Luke Powell retired the cap was a lot less . Same would or could apply to Luke Jarrad leaving end of 2016.
Now I’m just thinking that and look at 2016 list either under 18s coming up or seconds players came up .
You tell me
And don’t forget O’Brian leaving end of 2016 runner up in the medal going left a big salary cap hole .

Re: Ins and Outs 2018
all of this is just conjecture really because no one really knows how much money any player of any team is paid, i'd suggest generally speaking that players are probably getting less than what most people think that they are on

Totally agree Bayman
If we worry about how much every sanfl player earned we’d get even more grey hairs lol
Life’s too short for more grey hairs lol

Funny very interesting that many fans go after the eagles any chance they get yes to get a bite from me or fans like me .
As I said in my first answer to you prove it .
But I’m sure every club has had some issues in the past .
But once again prove it .

Re: Ins and Outs 2018
Parella is not a surprising switch to West.
Read seems to have jumped ahead of him at Sturt as the backup to Osborne.
He would have likely been in the ressies unless injuries happened.
Good luck to him with a new opportunity at the Bloods.

2016 Outs
Obrien
Ainger
Jarrad
Raymond
2017 Outs
Wundke
Mcgregor
2016/17 Ins
Stewart
Johansson
Sharrad
Not counting Gray and Rudloff as they are probably on the same level as other that have left such as raikewasa, Appleton, Press, Batley. No redden and von bertouch in 2016 can't believe how we finished minor premiers with that squad

Luke Surman back at Norwood.
Played AFL Reserves at Hawthorn and 'retired' after 3 games?
Always tough for young lads in the AFL system and hopefully he'll enjoy his footy back in the SANFL.

Think that's spot on Bayman. Often, jobs that can be sourced for players are the key ingredient.

There are plenty of people who know exactly how much some players are paid. From there it's possible to make reasonable guesses at what similar players are getting, particularly given most clubs are working to the same salary cap.
