According to the NAFC History database, he wore several at different times 1,2,9,14 and15.
There is a poll going on the NAFC website as to who is the best player to wear each number, Ken Farmer has both the 1 and 9 honours.
I would think there would be a lot of competition for number 1 in the SANFL greatest players.

Yes, the competition for the lower numbers will be fierce.
I'll hold out for No 13.
Also No 27, but will probably lose out there.

If you're talking about Mike Broderick I think you're right Lee.

The story so far;
Peter Jonas 45
John Platten 44
Andrew Aish 43
Mick Redden 42
Any takers for #41?
Can Mark B refresh our memories?

Yes indeed.
Maybe at Unley or Richmond.
we are up to 41 for today.
As we count down, I think people will have more names to propose.
High numbers are the most difficult.

Again from a Dogs perspective, Jeremy Aufderheide was a slid defender who won a few flags in number 41.

Re: Your Best by the Numbers.
Sean Chambers, who I think spent some time at the Bloods after he left Central, had a couple of good years in number 41.

Re: Your Best by the Numbers.
Did Robbie Thompson wear 41 for Glenelg as well as the Crows?

#41 - Lee Blake at Norwood, not going to win a best player award at this level, but as courageous as they come onfield, and even moreso off it,and terribly missed.

Which of those do you like the most KR?
I had a look at the clubs' websites for info on players.
Kudos to Norwood, North, South, Port for providing historical info on players including jumper number.

Re: Your Best by the Numbers.
Yeah I have not been able to recall any West players in the 40s. I have a vague memory though of a kid debuting for us a few years ago wearing a number in the 70s. Mark Beswick might be able to help.

Hate to come across as a closet Glenelg supporter, but Jim West certainly had an impressive career, going on to play for 3 seasons at the Swans.
Ladhams was a handy crumbing forward and Havelburg kicked a couple of goals.

Yes in my travels I did see that he had played quite a good number of games for the Dogs.

Re: Your Best by the Numbers.
oops!
Scrunch, I've looked at the Norwood history section of their web site which has a good snap shot of their players. I think there are quite a few coming up shortly.
