DENNIS HOPPER
If ever an actor was born to be wild , it was him
His screen break came when he auditioned for a part on the American TV series Medic in 1954
There were a total of 32 actors trying to make an impression for a part in the Medic series , the part of an epileptic
31 actors strut their stuff
When it was his turn , in the middle of his audition he has a seizure , an ambulance was called , but he bluffed the casters, he was acting the mishap
Dennis Hopper got the part in Medic , and what a career it ends up being

BOND 007 ACTORS
A couple of bits of trivia.
All of the first 5 Bond Actors were between 187 and 189 cm tall. Daniel Craig is the shortest at 10cm less than that (178cm).
Roger Moore is the only Bond actor to succeed his predecessor by being older than him. He was born in 1927 whilst Sean Connery was born in 1930.
George Lazenby (b1939)
Timothy Dalton (b1944)
Pierce Brosnan (b1953)
Daniel Craig (b1968)
Despite it often being quoted, Roger Moore was never offered the role as the first Bond. He was discussed in the role several times when Sean Connery was hedging. Moore was a personal friend of the producers Cubby Broccoli and Harry Salztman before he became Bond.
Apparently Moore never order a Martini 'Shaken not Stirred' in his 7 movies. And he never got to drive an Aston Martin.

CHEVY CHASE
" After college Chevy actually played around with a few bands professionally , he was a drummer , he hooked up with a couple of guys that he knew in bar college , a couple of musicians named Walter Becker and Donald Fagan.
Chevy eventually told them that they should probably go get a better drummer than him, and they did , and those guys went on to be in a band called Steely Dan !"

Steely Dan had a hit with a song in 1974 called Ricky Dont Lose That Number
Chevy Chase has gone on to become one of the screens funniest men of all time

Re: Screen Quotes and Quirks
James Garner who passed away last year was quoted in his autobiography............
"I started smoking it in my late teens," Garner wrote.
I drank to get drunk but ultimately didn't like the effect. Not so with grass. It had the opposite effect from alcohol: it made me more tolerant and forgiving. I did a little bit of cocaine in the Eighties, courtesy of John Belushi, but fortunately I didn't like it. But I smoked marijuana for 50 years and I don’t know where I'd be without it. It opened my mind and now it eases my arthritis. After decades of research I’ve concluded that marijuana should be legal and alcohol illegal

MOVIE : SUDDEN IMPACT [1983]
Theres a robbery taking place in a Diner
Clint Eastwood appears
A gang of punks are armed with guns
Clint interrupts
" Now you boys put the guns down "
" Say What?"
" Well where not going to let you walk out of here."
" Whose we sucker?'
" Smith Wesson and me !"
Brilliant dry witted Eastwood
Ha
Eventually Eastwood gets to the last crook who has a gun pointed at a staff member , Eastwood with his gun pointed at the crook
Theres a standoff
Eastwood breaks the silence
" Go ahead make my day."
That line is one of the all time movie classic lines
Clint Eastwood , one of the best action actors off all time

Was reportedly (from Roger Moore anyway) a difficult character to work with on set.

Re: Screen Quotes and Quirks
Interestingly, the "Make My Day" line didn't feature in the original Dirty Harry movie.
But there were other classic lines in Dirty Harry, such as.....
"Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?"
and this one....
"Mayor: Callahan... I don't want any more trouble like you had last year in the Fillmore district. You understand? That's my policy.
Harry Callahan: Yeah, well, when an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the bastard - that's my policy.
The Mayor: Intent? How'd you establish that?
Harry Callahan: When a naked man is chasing a woman through a dark alley with a butcher knife and a hard on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross.
[leaves]
The Mayor: I think he's got a point."

DON LANE
Used to enjoy watching the Don Lane show, especially with his side kick Bert Newton
Don Lane passed away on this day 2009
There was one show I had not scene but have read about
May 1967
One of Dons guests was that scary wrestler Killer Kowalski
Killers main mode of winning bouts was with his famous claw hold
Killer placed the claw hold on Don Lane and left the set
Lane was in a deal of pain
" What the hell have you got the camera on me for?"
Don had to be taken to hospital
Later Lane remarked
" This is the last time one of those fellows appears on my show."

Re: Screen Quotes and Quirks
THE CHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE 1936
Starring arguably Australias greatest action actor Errol Flynn
There was the scene when the charge took place
Horses were actually brought down by trip wires for an authentic look
About 125 horses died from that scene
1 stunt man lost his life
Flynn had an affinity with horses and voiced his disapproval to the director Michael Curtiz
Flynn and Curtiz had a fight on set, and had to be restrained from each other
