TEAMS:
NORWOOD - have added Murphy and Hughes to the squad from the 2nd Semi-Final and named no outs yet.
WEST - have added Bonney and Ben Fisher to last week's team with no outs yet.

i presume it's Murphy for Phillips if he doesn't come up ?
Hughes for ??? if a change is made
Ben fisher will come in for ???
if Bonney ends up getting in who would he replace ???
is Tippett still injured or is he interstate with Kurt ?

Tippett's injured. Be handy if Phillips didn't come up, in low-scoring games he always snares a few.

thanks for that, fair enough about Tippett & if i was West & Phillips played i'd test Phillips' shoulder with a strong hip 'n' shoulder fairly (presuming you could catch him)

I think scoring a goal or two early could be important for us. If we're goalless or thereabouts at quarter time it could be a little dispiriting.

There are a least two ways this could go.
The expected progression is as follows:
ND 1.0 2.2 4.6 9.11 (65)
WA 0.0 0.1 1.2 3.3 (21)
West goalkickers: Willits 1, Fisher 1, F Caruso 1 (pen). Rushed 0.3
OR:
West decide to attack!! This novel approach has only been tried in the 12 minor round and 2 finals they've won this year. The Coach analyses these figures and finds that in our 9 losses, we've 'gone defensive'. He tosses up the figures and takes the risk of attacking.
West win by 26 goals.
Perhaps something between these two extremes will happen. West are stronger for the inclusion of Hartlett and Nelson, but have lost Tippett. They surely can't play as badly as last time, but Norwood will be fresh and are well-drilled.
Every team has found it hard to score against Norwood this year and they're the rightful favourites, but we follow the game for moments like these.
I'm hoping for my Bloods to give everything they've got. If we lose, my best wishes to the Norwood fans.
If we win, please ignore my posts for the next few days

I've only lived in Adelaide for three years and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Just spent a day doing chores around Torrensville, Hilton and Mile End. Only saw one bloke with Westies colors.
Shouldn't the area between Henley Beach Road and Richmond Road be all red and black?

I was down the Parade this week and the lack of redleg colours up was very disappointing . Have not been in Westies neck of the woods but I just find it really sad now businesses and locals don't get their colours out like they used too.
Sign of the times I guess ??
I remember I saw a businesses on Beach Road (port noarlunga) when South were playing a elimination final against the bays last year ... I actually went into that business and congratulated them for getting behind the team.
I guess us South supporters don't care what final it was as its a bloody rare thing for us !!

Am Thai Restaurant on Richmond Road is all done up in Westies' banners.
Not a lot else, though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but West don't really have a full on commercial / retail strip near Richmond.
IE Like the Parade, Unley Rd, Jetty Rd, Prospect Rd and the Port etc.
Also is the Richmond local footy zone only in one council area or does it traverse further than the City of West Torrens?

Agree. Not our day. West have been hugely disappointing. Shades of 1989...
