Indeed. RIP Dean.
I think Dean could have played more tests and his performances probably didn't warrant his omission from the side later in his career. Healthy test average of 46.5 put him up there with names associated with the very best batsmen Australia has produced.

Sad news. Dean was a complicated character and was forthright, which was good.
Excellent player who didn't always get the recognition he deserved at Test level.
