Are you talking about the Steven Summerton rumours ? I've heard it's Sturt as he's great mates with Zante Kirkwood, I've also heard he's going to play for one of the local clubs in the Port area, can't recall which one.....someone at Sturt I know thought they wouldn't be able to fit him in the salary cap

He's also best mates with a South player too and previously coached by Buddha Hocking........make that what you will.

I agree, Monfries hasn't killed it in the sanfl this year and seems to be getting a few soft tissue injuries.

How valuable he is going to be and how much he wants to continue and for how long is a bit of a risk.

But then, he hasn't been delisted as yet.

The other bit of mail i got at Unley last night was that Angus Monfries is unlikely to play SANFL footy next year (presuming he's delisted), despite living near Norwood oval by George, he would either play for Sturt or North ONLY

Hardly the type of player Sturt need with Hone, Hansen, Penfold and now Dodd on board.

Not to mention Greenslade, who was playing as a defensive small forward in 2016, is back from injury next year.

North can have him.

Heard a report that Chad Cornes gave Brett Eddy a fair bake after the Grand Final and that that's it for Eddy at Port. Could be some good news for the Panthers.

Is Lewis Johnston signed with Norwood for 2018 ?

only asking because i'm hearing he wont be at the Parade next year, along with several others that have already been mentioned

This isn't sour grapes because I really rated him as a player and was distraught when he left North, but he doesn't seem to have done much at Norwood. He kicked 5 goals in his first game for them but seemingly hasn't justified his allegedly huge pay packet since. I know a couple of Norwood fans who think he never gets out of second gear.

It was common knowledge that Ben Warren and Johnston didn't see eye to eye. I don't know how he gets on with Cotton.

I agree, he is not the same player he was before his AFL bid. Productivity has dropped off a cliff, he has gone from being one of the best forwards in the comp to just another guy who can kick a few goals if left unattended.
