He played 22 matches in 1982, however, Norwood played 3 night series matches in 1982, so it can either be a total of premiership matches between 334 and 337.

Garry played in the first 6 rounds, missed rounds 7-10, then played every game from round 11, including 3 finals. So, 21 premiership matches, and 1 night match against Port Adelaide.

For now,I have 1991-2011 handy; the games are only minor round matches:

Yes I will, when I do 1983-2011. For now that is only 1991-2001; I will also take out Round 10 1983 and Round 12 1989 when votes did not count due to the state team being away.

Hayden Skipworth is a surprising name on that list in some ways.

Even taking into account the other eras, different voting systems, I will be surprised if we ever see James Allan's record bettered in our lifetime.

In a similar period of time, over the three seasons 1946 to 1948, Bob Hank polled 66 votes in a maximum of 51 games, a ratio of 1.29 votes per game ... higher if Hanks missed any of those 51 games.

He played all 51 minor round matches.

PS I was there that day when Norwood kicked 32-17. It takes us about 4 rounds to get that many goals these days
