"Confirming the performers on Monday, AFL chief Gillon McLachlan revealed the artist selection had been a family affair.

"I spoke to my daughters. They chose Ellie Goulding," the chief said.

"Bryan Adams' Summer of 69 is a personal favourite.

"They're both big international artists. They cater for a broad audience that is the Grand Final audience and we're lucky to have them. It'll be a great day."

I see that Gillon's daughters chose the entertainment. I suppose we should be glad they aren't 5 years old or we could have had The Wiggles and Humphrey Bear.
