Great get by the AFL - Tom Jones is a well respected international artist.

The AFL has teed up a couple of VG support acts.

Tom Jones and Ed Sheeran.

Let's hope it isn't too sunny. Tom's face will melt and slip off his head while Ed will blister before Tom gets to the bit where he has to dance in Sex Bomb.

mainly female contingent going i presume, why not send over that young band Chunky Custard oh hang on they've been around for years as well


oh Mamma Mia, bugger it, they've played at Footy Park & the SCG for starters, so why not get ABBA to perform at the MCG

Read a good article in The Age today that offered a few suggestions of bands/artists currently touring the country that would've been much better. I can't find it now, but from memory the list included:

- The Presets (they would rock the place out, would be my #1 pick for creating some atmosphere)
- Dan Sultan
- Spiderbait (yes please)
- Kingswood (these guys rock)

Internationals Justin Timberlake & Robbie Williams are also touring.

Surely someone along those lines would be better that Tom Jones FFS.

Kingswood are good, but not big enough or well known enough.

well i enjoyed the Tom Jones' show, especially when he was talking & calling it ''Australian rules football''......at least Tom Jones knows what the sport is, even if more than half the land doesn't
