Yes, pity I'm going to miss this one, but I would hope Norwood would finish in front by maybe 15 points.

Port to have 5 players make the league debut for the Magpies on Thusday night.
Danny Butcher - Power moved from North
Andrew Hayes - Former Central
Jake Johansen - Magpies talent squad
Ben Newton - Power moved from West
Jason Nyskohus - Magpies talent squad
Johansen just 16 and Nyskohus 19. Good luck to the two young lads.

does anyone know how (was it Grigg ?) is after being stretchered off late in the match
i thought the steak sandwiches (Basset Burgers) were magnificent tonight
while i wouldn't eat them as they are too hot for me, i thought it a great idea to try something different & have a local Indian Restaurant serve up curries

Had to wait till the 16.55 minute mark of the third quarter to find out who was the leading goalkicker for PA in 2013
I cant remember ever seeing PA kept goaless in a half of football and for so long goaless in a match of football
And the 16.55 minute mark is not accurate ???
I noticed early in the 3rd quarter than the time clock was lagging behind
There was about 2 minutes of footy played in the third quarter and the electronic time was showing about 25 seconds when I looked
PA had more possessions than NW and lost
Questions
1 This was the eighth win in a row by NW over PA , is this a record or close to it ?
2 Was the Port Magpie song played b4 the game started ?
3 Is the 16.55 or the 18 minute mark of the third quarter the longest amount of time PA has not scored a goal against Norwood ? [prob done in the 1800s, but in recent times ?]
4 Is Jason Nyskohus related to Bugsy Nyskohus the soccer player ?
5 Peter Persinos , what has he been eating in the pre season ? , he is kicking the footy a lot further than last year

Booney,
how did young Newts go though, I think he could end up being a useful player if he can maintain his body.

not that i really care but my young bloke pointed out last night that the Port song wasn't played before the game, i thought it was a rule & a respectable obligation to play the away teams song as well as your own, hopefully it was only an oversight last night

9 in a row. Best is either 10 or 11 in the 80s

Two famous times where I can remember Port being goalless for a half were the 1964 Grand Final where SOuth led 5 goals 5 behinds to 10 behinds and the 1971 Grand Final where North led 6 goals 11 behinds to 3 behinds.
I thought that Norwood beat Port 10 times in a row in the mid 1980s.
Jason Nyskohus is related to Bugsy and to John and to Peter, I think that he is Peter's son. An article when he was in the state under 18s said that Bugsy and John were his uncles. Is he the first player of Ukranian descent to play for Port since the days of Andy Porplycia and his lesser know next door neighbout Alex Hryhorec who debuted on the same day for Port in round 2, 1974?
