David Koch & his Dad
i watched David Koch on fox footy the other night & he mentioned the main reason he took on the Port job was the fact his father played for Port & would have wanted him to do it....great reason & great respect for his father
now i would like to know about his fathers footy career please (presuming someone knows)
thanks in advance

According to Spell Check's list of players the only Koch's to play league footy are the following :
Clem Koch Sturt
Daryl Koch Norwood
Doug Koch Central
Michael Koch Central
Ron Koch Norwood
Spelly admits that their are errors in his database, but it is very, very close to being spot on. Therefore my guess is that he only played juniors and perhaps reserves for Port.

Does it really matter though? The guy is obviously very passionate about his favourite club and is starting to lead a revolution at Alberton IMO.

I'm not stating you were are all wrong to be interested in it bayman.
Just throwing it out there if it's at all relevant to his reason for taking on the job.
IMO it'd be great if more people like him were around.
But I too would be interested of how he became so passionate about Port and if indeed there was any family link to get that started.
We're all good.
