Watson certainly deserves the medal, carried his team while many of his teammates fell away this year.

I can't remember a year where so many votes were given to players from teams who lost by big margins. Ablett & Watson both scored quite a few votes in games that their team went well down in.

It was refreshing to see the event kept moving last night too. Winner was announced soon after 10pm which would be some kind of record I reckon!
