And yet governments are elected on less than 50% of the vote. What does that tells us about "democracy" in Australia?

Agreed, AH, there's a big argument for proportional representation, but that tends to lead to unstable government.

It's like preferential voting, where only some voters get two votes. If they counted everyone's preferences, it wuld be fairer.

Interesting discussion for another time and heading, perhaps.
