To be honest R&B, I find most media reporting of both predictions as well as analysis of outcomes very superficial both of the AFL and the SANFL.

I doubt that those making such reports witness what you do of say West, me of the Blues and Bayman of Glenelg to make a proper assessment of the "critical" influences on;

a) a particular contest
b) a particular game and
c) a particular season trend.

Although the latter is much easier because trends are much easier to analyse.

It almost becomes farcical the discussion that emanates based on flawed facts or data.

But, as you would well know, you can't change such opinion whether it be based remotely on fact or fairy-floss.

Ho hum, another day in footy media.

well here's a big tip for you r&b & that is if West tag George Thring for the entire day you'll stop Norths 'go too man' from getting a free ball & from there setting up play.............it amazes me how George (who works hard) is allowed by opposition teams (all of them) to run behind play to be loose & the 'go too man,' if North are under pressure with the ball, & if you cut out 'the escape route' therefore surely there is more pressure on them & more likelyhood of them coughing up the ball....well that's my 2c worth

Agree bayman. He's a deadly kick and sets them up. Needs a run-with player.

Was there a need to see Steven Sims beaten up face at least twice in September/October in our local papers for events of 22 years ago ?

lazy stuff but not written by the regular SANFL journos who pretty much do a good job of things.
