Re: Domestic one day tournament starts today
final scores
S.A.
9/254
Valente 100
CA X1
3/256
Carder 102
Webster 121
obviously batting first in day games is a recipe for disaster but when playing a team full of (definitely promising) kids a state team shouldn't be comprehensively beaten

Re: Domestic one day tournament starts today
The Redbacks' recovered to finish at 8/240 after their allotted 50 overs
Tom Cooper 111 not out (115 balls)
Although the total would be below what would be needed it at least gives the bowlers something to bowl at & a couple of early wickets & you never know, having said that I'd expect the Bulls to win comfortably

That is a new one for me. What a load of crap, it is up to the batsman to be aware of the circumstances.
Does this mean that all sledging will now cop a 5 run penalty?
On that basis why is there not a penalty for the batsman who pretends to charge the bowler but quickly drops back in his crease for a shorter delivery?

The Redbacks beat NSW today comfortably by almost 50 runs, can’t remember the actual scores, Ross & Weatherald scored 100’s while Sundays century maker Tom Cooper was a first ball duck today...I’ll put the scores up after work

S.A. v W.A
S.A. 7/330
Ferguson 169 (138 balls)
W.A. 6/325
Klinger 143 (138 balls)
M. Marsh 124 (101 balls)
for most of the Western Australian innings it looked like they were cruising to a win, but when Klinger & Marsh went out in two successive deliveries giving Sayers a hat trick chance, the whole momentum of the match changed
Ferguson got the motm gong
