Sir Roger Moore passes away
my favourite ''Bond'' Roger Moore has past away aged 89 the cause of death was like so many others cancer
he was also great as ''The Saint'' ''Maverick'' among a host of films & tv series
RIP Roger Moore
some of his quotes via wiki....
Teach love, generosity, good manners and some of that will drift from the classroom to the home and who knows, the children will be educating the parents.
I enjoy being a highly overpaid actor.
There is nothing glamorous about death.

Re: Sir Roger Moore passes away
Read his biography a year or two ago.
Was light like his general persona.
He had quite an amazing life in acting considering by his own admission he was just an average actor.
He was mooted for 007 long before Sean Connery holstered his Walther PPK for good. Other projects prevented him accepting the role for one reason or another.
I liked Roger in his early Bond outings but the longer he went the more of a caricature he became in the role. The films almost became a spoofs like the original Peter Sellers / David Niven Casino Royale comedy.
I don't think anybody tops Sean Connery for mine, but Daniel Craig has done a good job to restore the aloof toughness that Connery had.
Roger Moore basically translated his role as Brett Sinclair in the Persuaders into James Bond when he took the role a year after that series finished. I liked the romp that The Persuaders was, with Tony Curtis along for he ride.
He often said the work he did for UNICEF is the best work he ever did.
RIP 007 #3.
