Sturt protected by the umpires stats show it .
Yet could only kick 1.16 after 1/4 time
Great slog Eagles

Mickyj,
the umpiring was fine, sure they made some errors but the players from both sides made more errors, as for the stats your talking about, i would presume you mean the free kick count, i don't know what it reads but i'll say this to you my friend, where is the law that says free kicks have to be equal or close to it ?

A bit of bias shown here Mickyj. I watched the game on stream home and I can not recall a questionable free kick that should have gone one way or the other. FK favoured Eagles 26/21 so there was not much difference. The Eagles got caught out on the small ground a little. They play the flanks so much. Some of their passes were not suited to Unley. The game was also not very high standard.

Mick, get the rose colored glasses off as they were doing it to each other & it was good stuff to see players from BOTH SIDES fly the flag for their respective teams & team mates & most players were smiling & enjoying it

Sumner didn't look like he enjoyed getting caught by the umpire lol
It's ok bayman Eagles won
The Southern end was a pain to score goals
Slightly easier at the northern end easier to kick from the 50 .
But after all that Sturt had the game in the bag in the third until they missed the goals

Here's some real obscure stat for you:
That is the record number of behinds kicked after quarter time by a side who only kicked one goal in the same time frame.
The record was 15 before:
Rd 13 1912
Sturt 3.3 3.3 5.6 6.7 (43)
Norwood 0.2 1.9 1.11 1.17 (23)
Norwood, 5000
The scores in todays match during the 1st quarter were 4.1 to 2.4 - this looked much like the previous time the sides met, where Sturt were kicking truly from set shots. That's where that ended; 1.17 to 7.4 after this point.
