Tour of India
Situation normal, I am getting a case of deja vu.
- Appalling pitch that was breaking up before lunch on day 1
- India opens their attack with a spinner bowling the second over of the test
- We have a good start but our middle order fails before being saved by a bit of slogging by the tail
- Mitch Marsh and Wade look totally hopeless batting against spin and both get out for single figure totals.
Not much has changed in 4 years.

Mitch Marsh's technique is awful.
He keeps getting games, Sayers never does.
Selectors???

I know nothing about cricket, (you can quote me), but it seems like they are all going for the "big bash", instead of settling in for a Test Match.....

Sayers will never play for Australia if he can't get a game in his home ground he has no hope

I was wrong. Everything is delightfully different from normal and the Indians were spanked.
Serves them right for that abomination they served up as a pitch

Australia applied themselves a lot better than India but I wonder if the toss went the other way we might be saying we were useless & have no backbone, I'd expect Kholi to make a huge score in the second test

I don't think we'll jump them so easily the next time.
Yes I think Kohli will be spewing at the first test (both team and individually).
He shapes to be the lynch pin for the remainder of the series I think.

Re: Tour of India
An intriguing first couple of days. Another poor pitch.
Nathan Lyon, with his best bowling performance, ran through the Indians and answered his critics with an 8 for. The batting was for the most part resolute and even though not many runs were scored, it was an enthralling days cricket. Renshaw looked very good, had outstanding temperament and could be an opener for a decade.
Grafting another 50 to 80 runs will be invaluable.

So far in this series Mitchell Marsh has bowled 2 overs, taking 0 for 2, and made scores of 4, 31 and 0.
If he's not going to be called on to bowl much, surely they'd be better off playing a specialist batsmen. Or just a better batsman.

Yes, agree.
I must have missed something.
What did Khawaja do wrong?
