Too early, for mine.
Still too many variables still, including the finalising of playing lists.

Yeah, I think so.waddayamean wrote:I would have thought lists would have been finalised Phil ? Do you think clubs would still recruit from here?
I know a couple of clubs are awaiting potential recruits to return home from overseas trips before making a decision to commit or not.

Port might be around the mark Bayman but not by that much I don't think. I think Centrals may improve and Sturt haven't lost much yet potentially gaining some talent if a couple of players returning have the right attitude. Eagles could drop as may South.
ok before he says it i do understand what he has written in this post .
Eagles interesting what you have written .
Yes that was the general thought on the eagles not to long ago .
Seeing i cant drive again yet( enough on my medical condition ) i haven't attended any Eagles training sessions .
Some interesting player news coming out of the clubs last members night
Eagles have a couple of ruck man Im assuming trying out one from over the border and a big back man .
one of the hopefuls stands at 202 cm i think or 203
And hearing what Gods is saying .
Eagles top 3 by the finals

Port top. Sturt to be strong. West to improve. South and the Eagles to drop.

I think Centrals, whilst a bit off the pace of the best teams, have been building in recent seasons. With some good additions I think they can be a big challenger in 2017.

Well if its true that Rowntree has done his knee again and Petrenko and Boyd wont be available to part way through the season..i'm afraid its going to be a long year for the eagles

Rowntree hasn't done his ACL again but he does have a meniscus injury in his knee.
Had to have an operation that will set him back a couple of months.

Nothing from the club yet but I'd agree with you bayman nothing about the ruckmen or the big bsckman
Could be a long year for eagles fans
Or you don't win flags by winning round 1
Iirc Gods is aiming for top 4 from what he said at the last members night

What reasons would those be?

Port, Centrals and Norwood look best early value for mine, although Crows at $8.50 with Crown not bad either.

Norwood ($14.00) would be the other one i'd consider, but i want to see them play a couple of times first, only because of the new coach & how the players gel to him.....With Adelaide it depends on a bit, just like last season

You think that McKenzie went to Norwood for the money and that's why he didn't sign with your beloved Sturt.
Knowing people at Norwood that's not necessarily the case.

Why Norwood ? I need to look a bit further into Port but they aren't there to win a reserves flag. Anyone who thinks are still bitter and twisted. Who cares about them anymore . Centrals maybe but I have my own opinion on that one.
Port most certainly want to win the SANFL flag, naturally it wouldn't be their first priority, but with the whole one club business and their history of supporters demanding and expecting success, they will be trying to win the flag (aswell as prepare players for AFL).
Norwood were cooked in their recent regimes, and is expect a more positive brand of footy with some solid inclusions. As Bayman alluded to, I think how they respond to a new coach and style is a big unknown though. I like Centrals chances but that's just me.
Sturt are the rightful favourites Imho, but don't think they represent any value.
