Re: Reserves Grand Final
I guess it goes without saying that the Sturt Football Club is happy to have our reserves in the GF. Not because we're content with second or third prize. We have a lot of young players in this side, a number of them still eligible for U18s and much of our future planning revolves around the products of our junior development programs. We'll undoubtably lose several senior players from our league team to retirement, before the start of 2015 and it's mainly lads from this reserves side that we hope can fill some of the gaps.

Amazing stats, before the merger between Woodville and West Torrens no premierships were won at b grade level.

So little between them H2H could suggest a nice close finish. Then again it's always difficult to tell with the minor grades as you don't know the change in composition of lineup to previous encounters.

Re: Reserves Grand Final
Apparently we won this one, 10.17 to 9.7...and 10 players are now dual Reserves premiership players
Some avid followers of the free kick count might be interested (and surprised to know) that Sturt won it, 19-16.

Its not how many you get, it's where you get them.

And what was missed, and what was unwarranted etc...something I've said before. The AFL in their season guides (at least used to) have all that club by club for the previous season. Until I see one for the SANFL, I don't know how anyone can make firm assertions on it.

Anyway, we had the benefit from having Rowntree and Poole in the side; Rowntree having only recently returned due to the knee injury sustained last year and Poole not at the early season form he had in the League side. Todd Culley who also had injury issues this year, better known as a backman in the League side, a surprise 3 goals up forward.

We have to treat all umpires as opponents, who else can take the footy off you and give it to the other team.

I was confused by the stats you showed and thought the Eagles had only one premierships after the merger--I was thinking you meant the Eagles before the merger had not one any
