It's actually a 7:15pm start time, changed from the usual 7:40pm time, to be able to0 accommodate the Channel 7 broadcast...

Can I ask why there's no love for Norwood here? All the other games I can see why people are tipping the teams they've selected but I don't get it for this game.

i've tipped Port because i think their list is good & Norwood have lost so many premiership players i think they'll struggle for a while, it could take some of their players a few weeks to adjust to league footy, that is my reasoning

Thanks Bayman- I thought Norwood might be a bit stronger given their trial against the Eags wasn't bad so while I can understand people tipping Port (whose trials have been very good) I thought it might only be a 1-2 goal game either way. Hard to tell from over the border when all I'm seeing is the reports on TFSA.

Port. They are healthy, talented, fitter and in many cases not as inexperienced as they could be, and the whole club is up and about at the moment. I think Norwood lost all their trial games last season too, so that might be misleading, but I agree with Baymans reasoning.

I feel Port will run out the game better than Norwood for obvious reasons, keeping ahead all night. Should be a terrific season opener for the SANFL, just hope that PAM supporters turn up in Black and White and leave the Teal home for their other AWFL team.

Some , or all Port players would be fitter after doing an AFL pre-season than Norwood players ?

Pretty keen to tune into this game on 7 mate Thursday night. Will be interesting to see what the coverage is like, and also the stats on how many tune in.

Port Power reserves to be too good for Norwood. Power have few injuries so there reserves will be at close to full strength and should win comfortably
