i'm amazed that the head to head odds are pretty close as i thought Hawthorn would've been about $1.35, however i wont be having a bet as i'd like to see Fremantle win, my tip though would be the Hawks by 5 goals...............what do you guys think ?

I think Hawthorn had the 'tougher' game last week, so Freo could be in with a chance but I don't think their MCG record is good??

I'll go for another draw since Ross Lyon is coaching a side.

Hawthorn couldn't possibly be the best side 2 years in a row with nothing to show for it.
Hawks comfortably, Freo too defensive for it to be a flogging.

I think Freo will get up personally.

It's their first GF so they have no weight of expectation on them like Hawthorn has. I also think the Hawks have a few niggles, and Buddy doesn't seem to have his heart in it at the moment. Then there's the Sandilands factor.

I just think if Freo can bring the same heat that they have in their previous 2 games they are going to be hard to beat.

I would like to see Freo (and Pav) win except that it would grate that scraggers like Crowley and Ballantyne end up with a medal.

I hope Hawks get a lead and Freo chase them, that should mean a good game. If Freo jump to an early lead we could have 3 quarters of congested footy where everybody plays in the Freo defensive half.
I reckon it comes down to Buddy and Roughie - if both have good games then they may be too much for the Freo defence. If Buddy has a shocker, as has happened before in big games, then Freo will win.

Yea I think Buddy and Roughead are definitely key players in this matchup.

I also think Freo has more pace than the Hawks, and could trouble them in the way it did Geelong a couple of weeks ago.

Unbelievable the amount of "educated" opinion backing the Dockers.

Maybe shows how far they've come AND the form they have presented this finals series.

But I hope they don't under-estimate the side who, over the regular season showed they were the best going around.

That side has made it to a GF, so for mine, it is 50-50.

I doubt that will be remembered as a classic GF. I was a bit disappointed, was a bit of a fizzer really. Freo only really played a quarter and a half of decent footy. The occasion definitely got to them, particularly in front of goals.

Not a great GF, the skill level was pretty ordinary. I think the pressure got to some of the players. Ballantyne choked when it counted a number of times.
Thought Brian Lake deserved the Norm Smith, had a good game.

i thought Gunston should have won the Norm Smith, he won the game for Hawthorn & therefore earned it imho, he was the only player that kicked consistently straight when the game was on the line in the early part of the match, bad kicking is bad footy but i wonder had Freo taken their early opportunities how different would the result have been

If only Gunston had stayed at the Crows...

Or Lake at the Bulldogs.
