Re: What's Not
I'm alright (besides being pretty shaken by it all) - the car, well that may be another story.
The guy I hit saw that their car was ok and fled once the driver of the car he clipped started asking for his details
As bad as the car is, the driver of the third car that got hit was awesome about the whole situation, and the officer that came out to the scene was excellent.
Now I just have to wait and see what the outcome will be with the insurance assessor.

Pretty much. Lucky we still hadn't sold my aunts car (the one I mentioned in What's Funny) so that's my temporary car, and who knows, if they write my car off it may become my permanent car.

My mother in law repeating the same stuff over and over and over again. Seriously if I had a record that had a scratch in it that bad I would throw it out.

Women waiting in line for a bus, who when the bus arrives and they step on board, then go through there handbag looking for there purse to find the fare for the trip. Why can't they have it all ready instead of holding everyone else up.

Re: What's Not
How's this for a run of bad luck:
1. Friday the missus tries to start her car and it won't go, turns out her fuel pump is buggered.
2. Saturday she pulls my car out the garage to find it had dumped most of it's transmission fluid all over the garage floor.
3. I'm driving to work today in our last remaining working vehicle (my shitbox runabout), drive under a pinetree full of cockies and one drops a pinecone on my windscreen, smashing it.
So in the space of 3 days all 3 of our vehicles are ******. Can't believe it.

Re: What's Not
That sux GN.
Not just the inconvenience of having the cars off the road - it's the $$$.
You never know how much you're up for
Look on the brightside - if things happen in 3's you're covered.
Can only get better from here !!
Lottery ticket perhaps and buy a brand new one...lol
I have the option in my car insurance for a 'free windscreen' each year.
Only costs me around an extra $14 a year.
Well worth it - have used it numerous times.

Twas the only car not covered for windscreens unfortunately, I've only got third party on it cause it's only my runaround car.
Needless to say the force of my swear words after the pinecone hit nearly cracked the windscreen from the inside. lol

lol - swear jar time
And yeah well - I can imagine the 'force' of the pine cone hitting - I was walking down the street one day - when BANG a pine cone or similar hit the ground at the rate of knots - scared the crap out of me - looked up and there was a white cocky sitting on the powerline - obviously decided to drop his bundle at that point in time. Was lucky I didn't get hit on the head - couldn't imagine that being too nice.
Anyway - hope things improve and you get your cars back on the road without too many $$ being outlayed.

Re: What's Not
2 horses in one race last night who passed away, Has Hay Fever who had a heart attack & crashed into the outside fence (he had already passed away before crashing into the fence, it was his momentum that got him to the fence) & Princeford who broke a hind leg & was humanely put to sleep...very sad for everyone concerned, the thing that got me was there is only one horse ambulance so while the first one got removed from the track the second one (yes it was covered) was still just lying on the ground, i realize if there were 2 horse ambulances one night you may need 3 but surely 2 should be a must given that in accidents there could be more than one casulty

I heard somewhere Bayman that a female jockey was quite seriously injured somewhere yesterday too - was this the same race do you know. And who was the female Jockey?

sorry i don't know who the jockey is or where that meeting was, but last night both drivers Mick Norman & Darren Billinger were ok, while David 'Hollywood' Harding who also was dislodged from the sulky was injured (i believe is a wrist injury which maybe broken) but obviously all were a bit shaken but definately ok

Ah okay - sorry Bayman I had read about the races somewhere yesterday and then when you posted that my brain automatically thought races - not trotts.
Glad the drivers were okay - sorry to hear about the horses though.
Wouldn't have been a very nice sight to see thats for sure.

Bayman is always at Globe Derby so I'd assume it was the trots ME?

Yes Bayman talking about the trots - but the story I was talking about I just found:
Was Flemington yesterday.

Funny that you didn't hear anything about it on TV or from protestors who say that they should ban jumps racing, maybe they should be told about this.
