Needing to take painkillers for whatever part of you happens to be hurting badly enough to need them; and having the painkillers turn out to be about as effective as a cat-flap in an elephant house.

For me, as I didn't own a mobile until a year ago, it was very much like it is today

Re: What's Not
McLaren Vale Footy Oval and Complex (Tennis courts, cricket, bocce club, netball) lost a their 'caretaker' who died suddenly on the weekend.
Without any doubt at all the best live in caretaker we have ever had at this complex - always went the extra mile, above and beyond his paid (minimal pay at that) duties. If we had a footy finals at 'The Vale' he'd make sure everything was spick and span - would help all of the clubs out in whichever task or way he could.
Was a very well respected member of our community and will be absolutley missed and never forgotten.
RIP Brian

People who talk on their moblies while driving.
People who text on their phones while walking and not seeing where they are walking and bump into people.

Re: What's Not
Super Amart at Gepps Cross..... got the old run around with some furniture that we paid for and was supposedly coming in the next day from their warehouse for pick up...some how it didn't arrive and we were told it will be in the next day...a week went by and still no furniture. A phone call to Super Amart asking where our furniture was and their response was... we have none in stock and will have to wait until late April. We were told when we paid for the furniture that there was plenty in stock.
Well guess who hit the roof at their store 15 minutes after i was told that?
Money back please i said upon arrival... the young girl behind the counter asks, can i have your bank details please?, I said...What for? I paid cash for the item and i want cash back.
Anyway i was heard clear across the showroom floor and i think it was some one high up in the rankings came out and sorted out the cash back for us.
And funnily enough, as the wife and i were leaving, a guy who works out the back of the store (having a smoko break) heard everything and said he had just come back from holidays said nothing had changed in that store, it's a joke.
So never again Super Amart, you can stick your furniture where the sun don't shine.

Baby induced sleep deprivation. On the whole she's been tops sleeping 12 hrs a night most nights, but the last couple of nights have been a fair struggle.

I really hate people posting criptic Facebook statuses.
ie. one of my friends just posted 'I really can't believe it'.
Can't believe what? Do you need help? Are you a Richmond fan? Did your dad die or did you just burn your toast? WHAT???

Well said.
The following posts often agree with the poster, without having a clue what they're on about, until some forlorn soul askes what it's all about.

I really don't like the fishing for public sympathy, really annoys me.
You either want the news to be public or not, don't sit on the fence.
In this case he messaged me to say his mother had been diagnosed with cancer. A terrible situation but now that I know I can offer him my full support, not just post some empty words on his status.
I don't understand why he didn't just say that or say nothing, or send a PM to the people he wants to know and needs support from.

The oustandingly ridiculous behaviour of vehicle owning idiots and their panic buying of fuel.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17558294
Tanker drivers union here has threatened to strike...emphasis on the word 'threatened'. They go into talks on Monday and even if a strike goes ahead they must, by law, give at least 7 days notice. That means a strike date before the end of Easter is unlikely and it's already been announced that military drivers are being trained to keep supplies going just incase.
Who needs the likes of Al Qaeda when our own Media and politicians are doing such a great job of creating fear and panic
Regards

Such is 25 to life
Any remnants of respect I had for him are now gone. Hope the book gets thrown at him. He's in BIG trouble, is too gutless to face facts (by trying to skip town), and lashing out at anyone and everyone.

well yes actually, i know a girl (family friend) who was a heroine addict as well as taking anything & everything, she would abuse her mum & everyone else in her family if she didn't get her way & was full bore, it drove her mum to have a heart attack such was the pain it was causing, she (the girl) ended up living in a car, she worked as a hooker, she pawned anything she had or stole, would fill up petrol, use a card & when no money in card she would sign a form using a fake name (i know this as i was in a car with her at a time it happened, she would never admit it until she (after 10 or 11 years) went onto the methadone program, fortuneately she's been drug free for a few years & now has a couple of kids & is a good mum & all is good between her & her family now, i'll never forget when she called me one night from flinders hospital when she had used a used needle & by the time i got there the doctors were working on her & i heard one say i think she's a gonna (she knows this now)................as for Ben well if he wont help himself no one can help him & he'll end up in a coffin, i feel for Brian & the family
