Brilliant work Micky!
I have been sick for a week - so stopped the whole exercising routine (Couldn't breathe just walking up steps, let alone walking for half an hour or more) - and I'm sure I comfort ate - which is not good for my health I know - but back on the treadmill today.

wonder how much id lose if i did exercise
Did do a half an hour walk yesterday with mum and junior . But i was so sore in the back i didnt go for a longer one when i came home.
I've upped the protein in my lunch salad adding chickpeas and mushrooms . Also added capers not sure if they are good or not .
Still get the odd co worker who swears I havent lost any weight not too many thankfully . pretty obvious as my trousers are way to big now lol

Great work Micky - I'm at a bit of a standstill myself - but want to lose another 6kg by Christmas. So that's the goal!
That would take me to 20kg since I was diagnosed.

Re: Diabetes Type 2
Well as promised I made it to the dietitian last night . Another 3 kilos lighter which adds up to 19 kilos since june 30th 2014!!
Last visit the dietitian told me my sugar levels where so close to me being on insulin . This visit he mentioned my fatty liver levels were equal to that of an alcoholic (i dont drink ironic and its to do with sugar in the foods we eat) not a good two things to have hanging over my head !!
Dietitian is very happy with my progress and doesnt want me to change anything !! I asked a couple of food questions . We chatted about food game mainly and i asked whether crocodile is red or white meat
Now it all comes down to me seeing the doctor who is on leave and then my fasting blood test. To find out if losing all this weight has helped my health
So thats 19 kilos down still a hell of a lot of kilos to lose !!!

Re: Diabetes Type 2
Went to the quacks to get my blood test paperwork . She was reluctant to do another one before Jan until I said id lost 19 kilos . then she weighed me lost another 4 kilos so thats 23 kilos off since june 30th
good news
Bad news im still 50% chance of needing insulin . Personally reading my daily readings really dont think ill need insulin . when asked when i get down to my goal weight her reply was no you will have to stay on two of your meds .
BP is going down but its still slightly high to be weened off any pills yet !!
Ok aint moaning more motivation to loose more weight and beat this **** !!

Wow Micky you are doing so well !!
That's brilliant.
I have also lost 19kgs - but it's taken me a lot longer than you have...18 months in fact.
My levels are sitting just under 7.
Keep up the great work

People cant believe the change in my weight footy people all keep coming up and talking to me about it !! Friday night after the footy my head went a bit light managed to drive home took my blood down to 3.9 second time ever . Perhaps a subway wrap and a handful of nuts isnt enough for dinner hehe

Re: Diabetes Type 2
Yes I had some lady come up to me in the supermarket the other day - I hadn't seen her for about 3 years and with this gasp and shock she went "Oh my god look at you" ... I am steadily getting back on the exercise routine... I had lost 18kg - but have put 1 or 2 back on - so want to get to 20kg loss by June - and that will then be 2 years since diagnoses.
I have an appointment with the nurse for a new care plan next week - so that will include being back at the gym. So should be able to lose those 3-4 kg by June - well fingers crossed!
What is your weight loss goal?
(As you can't keep losing forever..lol)

I was 127 (think i was more ) wanna be 76 kilos lost 26 kilos since june !!
Not been to the gym go for the odd walk around 50 minutes . Do have a manual job , basically im non stop for 8 hours excpet on my 2 breaks .
And the best thing i did was go to a dietitian which being diabetic i get 5 free visits . But as the dietitian said what works for me may not work for the next person
