Re: are 2 coaches in strife ?
So far this season West have scored more than 10 goals on 6 occasions and less than 10 goals twice and one of those was still a win. Not too bad when most of our games have been night games.

And a premiership.
Although I think Collins might just cross that one off the list this year. Liking the way the Bloods are just getting their business done without much fuss or fanfare.

Re: are 2 coaches in strife ?
I would hope that the board at the SAFC have more brains than to sack Ron Fuller as Senior Coach, to do so would not improve the current situation one bit.
How many times have South Adelaide taken the knee jerk reaction and sacked a coach, far to many times for my liking, John Reid, Ken Sheldon, Ken Applegarth etc etc, all with the same line that the coach has "lost the support of the players".
Where has that gotten the SAFC?
Do you really think that the likes of Nathan Bassett, Andy Collins or Roy Laird would get a better result with the current SAFC list?

Yeah I heard that too from someone within one of those clubs.
But still, you never know until you know!

Roy's being tested, more than he probably ever has been, at the Dogs now...waddayamean wrote:I'd like to see Laird be tested at South.

Some good real estate sales are happening down South......could tempt him?????
I don't think Houdini could fix South at the moment!!

Re: are 2 coaches in strife ?
purely a hypothetical question
IF Kris Massie (did a A. McGuiness) & decided to play for Glenelg to see up close how much voice, work rate etc etc is going on, would that require a transfer fee to Norwood or would it be just a case of registering him as a Glenelg player ?

Re: are 2 coaches in strife ?
he's been at Glenelg for 4 years (including this year) so i'll presume he played for Norwood 5 years ago....as i said just a hypothetical question

Not 100% sure but if a certain period of time passes, I don't think a clearance is required. I could be wrong...

i haven't changed my mind with my original question, from what i've heard around the traps both coaches are very doubtful to be in charge next season

More chance of G. Cornes in this one. Chad will not coach Glenelg in 2014.

To be more to the point, both clubs in question should be looking for an ex, experienced AFL player who has aspirations to get into coaching after doing a 3 year term before taking the next step.

hang on we have a coach with those credentials now, i doubt Chad would take a pay cut to coach, there would be three reasons he would coach Glenelg 1, heart/family, 2, come home factor & 3, he had a personality clash with Massie & if he took over & went well it would shove it up him
i reckon Mouse would apply for it, whether he got it or not i don't know

I would not put Massie in the ex experienced mould far from it, and it shows. I agree with your other points re Cornes, then again strange things happen
