female jockey to ride over the jumps at Oakbank

Adelaide based jockey Amy Herrmann is riding in a jumps trial on Monday at Oakbank, i presume it is with the view at riding in jumps races next week at Oakbank & throughout the jumping season

she is a braver person than me because i wouldn't do it


if she rides in a jumping race would she be the first female jockey to do so ?

Yes good luck to her and I'm with you Bayman, never in my life would I attempt any thing like that.

She trialled over the hurdles a few weeks back

Christine Reeve from Victoria rode over the jumps at Oakbank more than 20 years ago.

Jaylene Burgess rode over jumps in Adelaide and certainly rode winners in the early 1990s but I don't know if she rode at Oakbank.

Michelle Hagley has ridden over the jumps more recently especially in the western districts of Victoria, the traditional jumping region. I think she may have ridden at Oakbank.

Like the other posters they are braver people than me.

wasn't boxter blue ridden by a female about 10 years ago?
