Alf Gard passes away

former ABC race caller Alf Gard passed away aged 90
there are many memories of Alf,
the saying what he thought on the ABCTV news & getting the chop for it
did you know Alf brought out a 'record' ? it was a game style vinal record, the name was ''The wackiest races on record''.......one of the horses names & its 'breeding' reminds me of Scrappy, it was called 'Lazybones' & it was out of bed by dinnertime

I think he is just about one of the last of the old time callers, they were in a class of there own.
