Had a very, very good meal at Sammys on the Marina with some friends pre-Xmas. The 6 of us (3 couples) all with pre-teen/teenage kids dont get out that often as a group for meals only so we decided to be a little decadant and not review costs of wine or meals and just enjoy ourselves.
$780 later.....

The family has had a few restaurants in Adelaide
They also had
Stanleys Seafood [City]
Mannys Seafood [Norwood]
Lovely family
The food and service at all the complexes has been exceptional over the years
Booney one question
Was the food at Sammys better than the food at AAMI stadium ?

Jolly's Boathouse is always nice.
The Revolving Restaurant is apparently tired inside but only last week an elderly neighbour went there and said she loved it, saying "there wasn't a lettuce leaf on the plate" LOL.
We used to go to Stanley's Fish Cafe in Gouger Street when Stanley was the owner/operator!
The Edinburgh offers a good meal at more affordable prices than the classier restaurants.

Well - they ended up at the "Intercontinental" in the Shiki Restaurant.
Had a blast - they didn't realise that you had to share a table with other people - lol - but they had never experienced a restaurant like that before where your meal is cooked in front of you - they also had a good laugh with the people around them (not hard for A Son - he was probably the one making all the jokes!)
Anyway they had a fantastic night, can't stop raving about the place, sounds to posh for me - and they were happy with the price also $130 for both of them.
Loving all the suggested places though - told him I had a list for him from here..lol.

A mate and I 'snuck' out to Sneaky's, which is at the Virgara winery at Angle Vale, for lunch today.
Can not fault the food. We shared a large pizza between us, and $18 for one of the best Hawaiian pizza's I've ever had was fantastic. We then decided to have a panna cotta for dessert, which was one of the best I've ever had.
And for those that want to take home a bottle or 12, the cellar door is next door.

Re: Best Adelaide Restaurants?
coming home from the Kapunda trots today we decided we'd all go for a meal, so the boys decided The Somerset Hotel on Bridge Road as it was close to the first drop off on our way home & i must say it was very very good & if i'm ever on that side of town i would have no hesitation in having another meal there, there were 5 of us altogether & including me 3 of us had never been there & we all agreed it wont be the last time we'd go there, the service was prompt & friendly
