Will the Bloods take their chance at home to upset South?

This is traditionally a game we would drop.
Our form to be honest is not good, and mid tier players are just going through the motions, the oldies and the kids are keeping the show on the road.
Rose looks like he'll be absent for an extended time with a shoulder injury, injury clouds over a few others.
I think we can win the inaugural Brad Gotch Cup.

LOL South by plenty!
Josh Gore and Mitch Duval will both be selected in the MSD tonight, leaving us with even more holes in our line up.
We might as well pack it in for 2021

None of the 17 West players who nominated were selected.
We're just short of talent.

I've been trying to think of names to call this West v South cup, after players who have played for both clubs. I couldn't come up with many, can anyone think of others?
Neil Kerley
Phil Collins
Mark Whitington
Conor Fairlie
There was a left footed wingman from the 2000s too but I can't recall his name.

Souths Reece Milsom's father- David and Grandfather , Peter -both played at West.
Souths Jessse McKinnon, currently in the 2's... his father Robin was a Premiership player with West in 83.
Souths century goalkicker CC "Diddy" Munro of the 1930s played 8 games for West before seeing the light and moving to South.
Ian Day also played at West before he was a Premiership player at South.

Dare I say we had a captain and very good player about 15 years ago too.

I was going to mention Diddy Munro also.blueandwhite wrote:Souths Reece Milsom's father- David and Grandfather , Peter -both played at West.

Bob Keddie played for both clubs in the 1970s.
The 1950s and 1960s Michael Wundke also played for both clubs. I have often wondered if he is related to the recent family of Wundkes who have all played for more than one SANFL club.
Simon Porter also played for both clubs.

Yes of course CK, can't believe I forgot the Hewitts. Darryl seemed to be a much better player at South than he was with us. We played him on a half back flank where he always looked slow but on ball at South he looked a different player.
And yes Lee, Ben Newberry was the wingman I was thinking of, and Luke Norman was the other one you referred to. Terrific player and so gutsy.
And Ian Day and Bob Keddie, should have remembered them too.
Is Simon Porter the player who originally started at Norwood?

I think so.
If we look at players going from West to South, there are many. Two of the most recent would be Matt Rankine and Richard Newell.

I thought South were disappointing. They seemed to not want to run to create at all.
Pretty lucky, I think, against an honest side short on top-end talent.
