T20 world cup
obviously not much interest in it seeing there isn't a thread on it & we're at the 'super 8' part of the tournament
first observation i make is that D. Vettori has a 'porn star' moustache
i'll tip India or Sri Lanka to win the title

This form of hit and giggle has been described by some as a game of luck rather than skill
However Ive watched 10 games , and the Bookmakers favorites have won each time , so the element of fluke is ???
I consider 20/20 great to watch
I also consider that players need a skill level to excel in this game
The super 8s have been action packed
My tip FWIW, India but with no degree of confidence
Interesting to note that Brendan McCullum is the leading 20/20 run scorer in all International 20/20 matches
And that Daniel Vettori MO is a shocker !

Re: T20 world cup
Australia were ranked 9th at the start of the tournament. If they will tonight against the WI, it will be the best performance by any country since Kenya in the 2003 WC that were ranked outside the top 8.
Yes, the rankings have been adjusted since the tournament started and now we rank 6th but no one gave us a chance at the beginning.

Re: T20 world cup
SL to win the mens comp and Australia to win the womens.
WI is not a great surprise as individually they have a great collection of T20 talent, but the question for them is harmony and working as a team.
Would not be surprised if WI won.

It's interesting that not much has been made of it.
Seems like real (Test) cricket is the one still.
