The 1st album you ever bought.
'Whispering Jack' by John Farnham. On vinyl of course. Not a bad choice by a 4y.o. back then, considering most others of that age were probably listening to Don Spencer or Peter Coombe! Of course, mum and dad paid for it, but I picked it and still have it!
The first album with my own money was 'Crossroad' by Bon Jovi. First CD that I ever owned too!

Crowded House's eponymous album. It set me on a path of a band that has been with me for many big moments in my life. From the opening strains of "Mean To Me", I was completely hooked.
"Man Of Colours" from Icehouse was the second one. Played it only a few weeks back and amazed to see just how strongly it holds up still, 25 years later.

First Album
Cosmos Factory by Creedence Clearwater Revival
The song Travellin Band was the reason why I bought the Album
Heard it on the Grapevine ends up being my favorite CCR track
First Single
Apeman by the Kinks
Fascinated by the lyrics
'' I dont feel safe in this world no more
I dont want to die in a Nuclear War
I want to sail away to a distant shore ...""
These lyrics were for the times, it was shivery living for some in the Cold War era

Well the first album I got given was when I was about 3 years old.
ABBA - Arrival . Massive ABBA fan as a kid and still see how clever and brillant songwriters they were. Production and songwriting wise they are amazing!!
First album I got with own money would be probably Duran Duran's live album called ARENA. Around 1984. Huge Duran Duran fan. Would have been about 10 years old.
First CD I ever got with my own money was in 1987 and like CK it was IceHouse's Man of Colours. Pretty timeless album.

Strangely enough, it was Tapestry by Carole King. Not that it's not a great album, I'm just surprised I bought it before I got to other masterpieces
