Thanks A Mum. I'm sure many other clubs use them - Performance Mouthguards, at Somerton Park. Anyone who's interested give them a call. Grant, the owner, comes out to training nights as well just asks that the club guarantees allocated time for him to explain his product and there's space for him to set up and do the moulding. We've had him for quite a few years. Very reliable in delivering them back, and good quality mouth guards as well

That's awesome 85 - I'd never heard of it till now.
I am no longer involved in a footy club, but did school footy and junior footy committees etc for years. So yeah think it's a great incentive/idea.
Good luck with your family day.

i've heard with 15 teams (i think it was) the league is strongly considering using the '2 divisions' concept, with the 2 up & 2 down scenario, however a club or two up 'near' the top has said 'no thanks' ..................time will tell with what happens but believe me it is very much on the agenda

A little bit of correct info in there, but not accurately conveyed in this brief run-down.
Briefly - The league put it to the Club Delegates that that if the clubs could come up with a solution to make 2 Divs both competative and workable, it could be put forward for consideration.
One club initiated a Presidents Meeting about a fortnight ago where a few possible solutions were discussed. All clubs said they are interested in looking for a workable 2 Divs concept, with some clubs hesitation being based around the way the Div 2 junior competition would unfold. With the likely teams in Div 2 all not all having a full contingent of Saturday teams, it would be a very small competition.
There was also discussion around how the criteria would be set to decide who was in Div 1, and who was in Div 2. ie If the decision was based wholely and soley on A Grade ladder position, or whether Div 1 clubs were to be based upon the ability to field all 5 Saturday teams.
Yes it is on the agenda, but no-one outrightly said 'no thanks'.

Re: SFL
Does anyone know what are Edwardstown doing in relation to the juniors for season 2012 - will they be playing in the SFL or the SAAFL competition?

They have nominated teams in SFL for 2012 in U18s, Sat U14s, Sat U16s, Sun U14s & Sun U16s, but none in the Mini League which is U8s though to U12s

S*** a brick! What a pick-up! I'd have thought he still had a good few years of SANFL left in him.
