Here's the full version:-
Lyrics
Well there's a big big sound
From the West of the town
It's the sound of the mighty Giants
You feel the ground a-shaking
The other teams are quaking
In their boots before the Giants
We take the longest strides
And the highest leap
We're stronger than the rest
We're the Greater Western Sydney Giants
We're the biggest and the best
And we will never surrender
We'll fight until the end
We're greater than the rest

I don't mind it personally.
BUT..... They played it under the weather on JJJ this morning and they pointed out it sounded a lot like a communist propaganda/jewish wedding song. Had a bit of a chuckle at that.

They played well on the weekend even if they did lose both games.

Re: Greater Western Sydney
I would think GWS would be reasonably happy with their first performance on Saturday night.
I just had it on in the background and wasn't watching closely, but it seemed a lively contest with only inexperience and lack of endurance seeing the new boys fade out in the end.
Should put up some good showings, and may even snaffle a win. I can see them beating the Suns.

Re: Greater Western Sydney
People keep going on about the Crowd of 38 000 - I do wonder if they would be making the same comments if it were Collingwood they played at the MCG and got a large crowd in?
Lets see the Crowd against North Melbourne at Home in GWS before we get to excited! - I would suggest that the AFL will be pumping $$$ into the club for a very long time to keep it afloat to boost the ego of its CEO.

Re: Greater Western Sydney
Let's be honest AFL, with the game played at ANZ Stadium, you were expecting 50,000+. Be everything about GWS has to be positive to attract a large fan base.
I remember when Port Adelaide used to average 35,000. What happened there?
It seems the only people that care about the AFL anymore are the Vics and WA. So there you have it, we helped prop up the VFL, can we all go back home now?

GWS off to a very good start against the Bulldogs, up 2.4 to 0.5 at Quarter Time

This club will win a flag before Melbourne, Gold Coast, Western Bulldogs, Fremantle, Port Adelaide, North Melbourne, Brisbane, Carlton or Richmond does. I give them 5-7 years.
