2019 Magarey Medal
Monday night is the count at Adelaide Oval.
Who is your tip to take out the SANFL's top individual award?

Re: 2019 Magarey Medal
Looks an open count as per most years but reckon we may see a slice of history this year. I believe no player has won the Medal after missing 5 matches but many of Port's Jack Trengove's matches will be almost impossible to ignore in a low count.
I also think no player has won at the age of 32 but I call a high number of South games and reckon Joel Cross will poll in many of these, particularly with more time in attack this year.
Can't ignore Luke Partington's first year in Tiger colours either.

Trengove would be a deserving winner.
Unfortunately albeit, in the wrong colours.
I think it is clear he is wasting his time at Port.
It would be lovely to see him don the double blue again, but some feel that is most unlikely.

Cross always polls well.
Partington could snaffle it. Midfielder who had plenty of possessions for a winning team which ticks most of the boxes.

Trengove the favourite IMO.
Luke (It's too far to Noarlunga") Partington will also poll well.
From South Davis and Haines will be our leading vote getters, although Liddle and Cross always get votes.

I'd guess at:
1. Partington
2. Cross
3. Trengove

I think P Wilson and Trengove will lead at some stage. Not so confident on who'll win, probably between these two and Partington.

Will be televised on 7 mate channel 138
If Luke Partington wins, would that be the first NW league footballer to win a medal with another SANFL club ?
Trevor Grimwood played at Norwood , but didnt play a league game
Played for Port Adelaide for a while
He won the Medal in 1977 playing for West AdeLEEaide
I would not be surprised if Sam Colquhoun polls well, or even win the medal

Congratulations to Parto on his win. Had a fantastic second half of the year and is a class player.
The runner up Wilson is another very good player who probably deserves a better go at AFL level. Whilst his kicking may not be quite at elite level he gets a lot of the ball and commits 100%.
