Should be a ripper. Both sides playing good footy. Sturt have been down at times but as they showed against North, they're a far better side with Riley in the team.
This match-up always draws a good crowd at Unley. The last four years:
2017 - 4,351
2016 - 3,762
2015 - 3,995
2014 - 3,829
Given Norwood is flying and Sturt's home crowds are the best they've been since 1999, getting to 4,000 won't be an issue at all. Deserves 6,000 but the live TV will keep a handful away I suspect.

Yeah this match has every ingredient (rivalry, good form, finals ramifications) you can get for a big crowd, be great if it materialises.
For mine Norwood simply have to win this if they're to amount to anything this season I suspect, and yet I expect Sturt to win.

Yeah that furthers my point mate - Sturt own Norwood, if the Legs can't get it done now, almost impossible seeing it happen in September.Chambo Off To Work We Go wrote:Couple of key forwards out for the Blues could sway you back Scrunch

Blues at home will be too good, building nicely for another run deep into September.

For all stats that can come out of the last quarter, it's actually the highest ever quarter score given up by a reigning premier. Amazingly, there's been two higher conceded by a side who went on to win that seasons flag!

Apparently the crowd was only 3,700 odd. Absolute rubbish. Was at least 1,500 more than against the Crows two weeks ago and that got 3,200.

Scott that is probably because v Crows, Sturt ran a U8 carnival among its local clubs as the curtain raiser. Normally a lot of those kids don't stick around for the main game.

Amazing effort by Norwood. Panos did the same to us at City Mazda.

Astonishing last quarter by the Legs. That score would win a few games by itself.

What did Marty Mattner say at 3/4 time?
Play like witches hats maybe?
it still perplexes me that in this day of tactical "structures", sides cannot shut that sort of momentum down. Even if you can't score yourself.
Seemed to occur with the Adelaide - Port games as well.
Whatever Marty said, I hope he doesn't say it again.
