Woodville-West Torrens coach Michael Godden faces a selection dilemma ahead of the clash with North on Sunday.

Star midfielder James Boyd has recovered from a minor ailment to be included in the 23-man squad with veteran Scott Lewis.

The experienced pair have been named on a five-man extended interchange bench which must be trimmed by two before the bounce.

It will be a tough call to squeeze out Boyd’s replacement in Bank SA Rookie James Rowe, who collected 27 disposals on debut in Round 4.

Last year the Eagles would have found a way to win as they did . And learn nothing hopefully they have learnt from this loss.

I don't know if we have a contender but they have surprised everyone including myself. To get over the line at Woodville hasn't happened too often since the merged opposition side started playing there in 1992.
In fact it is only the 6th time that North have won their on 27 attempts.
Having said that, North have just fallen short at Woodville quite often including last year when North led at the 26 minute mark of the last quarter before conceding 2 late goals.
Perhaps North haven't improved as much as everyone thinks but are winning the close games this year that they were losing last year.

I just read Zac Millbank's wrap of the game on the SANFL site. It is no big deal but he has posted that North have only won 4 times at Woodville in the last 27 years.. They have actually won 6 times there. Np big deal but you would think that the league might get it right. I have emailed them of the error

Does anyone know what the crowd was for the Eagles bs North clash. Looked a good crowd.
