Bit pedantic there Mick, just talk about the respective teams on the respective threads....
They tell me Scott Lewis just back from his honeymoon so will need a run or three
Young Lukosius (unsure of spelling & not looking it up while at Norwood oval) will be missing from the side for a while playing in the “showcase 18’s” which is a joke, he’ll learn more at sanfl level against men than doing the junket

I am on my phone couldn't give more info
Seeing I'm not sure of extra players like Seb Giulhaus spelling sorry
Scott Lewis I heard on Friday his flight home was delayed so he missed that game . You could be right two or three in the seconds
Lukosius is an interesting one thanks channel 7 naming him number 1 draft pick
Watched him 2017 Play in the seconds when the state under 18s dropped him or he wasn't required . Funny state don't need him kicks four goals in a league final number 1 draft pick. And Godden picking an under 18 before he goes to play for the state is new for Godden.
The question being no Lukosius do the Eagles bring Jordan West in to play as ruck forward

Agreed Bayman re: Lukosius. The lads playing a-grade being called up to the U18 has been there awhile but surely playing SANFL is better for player development. Same for a few others. The U18 comp is just a showcase for AFL recruiters. The SANFL management is so into the AFL's pocket that they no longer have a feel for their own comp. Let the AFL throw in the type of money they throw into the TAC comp or GWS/GC into the SANFL before us showcasing our players.

The talk around Richmond Oval Friday Lukosius dad doesn't want him drafted to the crows
Rather The Power.
But if he's going to be number 1 can't see either drafting him

Woodville West Torrens scored 2-16 against Port
Would this be the lowest or near lowest score since the merger ?
I cant recall WWT scoring 1 or 2 goals in any game

Re: Woodville West Torrens 2018 season
After 4 rounds WWT are undefeated with 3 wins and a draw
They have been a very consistent team for quite a while now
They are reliable and will and most likely to play deep into a finals series
WWT need to win a flag in the next 1-3 years and deserve one
Does WWT continue with their strong defensive style of game ?
Or should they be a bit more offensive because they have 3 very talented marking forwards in Jack Hayes, Nick Hayes and Jack Lukosius ?
Woodville West Torrens have defended well this season
They have conceded an average of 50.5 points this season
WA 7-10 [52]
CD 8-15 [63]
PA 4-4 [28]
GL 8-11 [59]
Expected minor round finish
1st/3rd

Re: Woodville West Torrens 2018 season
11-5-1 with one round remaining
They have delivered again this season
A marvellously consistent team this century and once again in 2018
Not much to add about their minor round in 2018, they have done the expected
On observation at some games, they appear to playing with more flair this season
Have some gritty midfielders, exceptional forwards, a reliable defence
They will be playing ST in the Q FINAL
I think that game is close to 50/50 who wins
The problem is they have been clobbered by NW all too often the last 2 seasons
They may have to revert too a more defensive game plan if they get a crack at Norwood in a final
I think they will prob lose in the prelim final, but if thats the case they are close to another Grand Final
No one should begrudge this team a premiership , they prob deserve one

Re: Woodville West Torrens 2018 season
The WWT 2 most recent GF losses as favorites are gone but not Forgodden
Will that legacy affect WWT if they make the 2018 Grand Final ?
Or will it make WWT more determined to succeed if they get to another Grand Final ?

Interesting statement .
As a Eagles fan I'm tired of making the finals lasting one week or two weeks.
As a fan at all the games ( excluding the parade game watched that on the sanfl app.)
I've noticed a few things and I think South highlighted one Eagles struggle against fast paced sides .... Almost got to the win but didn't .
Adelaide the week before however showed the defensive side of the Eagles . Once going long into the forward line Adelaide took the ball away . Eagles blocked them up and changed to the running Game .
But one thing seems to hang over the team players staying fit against South ruck man Seb injured again will the Eagles have two fully fit ruckmen in the finals .
Of course all this is conjecture due to the south game was meaningless as North lost to Norwood . Eagles finish second or third means they play the same side and still get a second chance . That game meant a lot more to South than the Eagles
