Round 1: Sturt v Adelaide - Sunday 9 April @ Peter Motley Oval
Start v Adelaide
Sunday 9 April
Peter Motley Oval
League: 2:10pm
It's last year's premiers against the side that was storming through the finals - until their AFL side lost. Will Sturt start their title defence with a win, or will the Crows be interested in the win this week?

Bugger! 2 points.
But Sturt let Adelaide have a 40 point buffer at the last change and came storming home with a wet sail. Literally! As it was raining for most of the last term.
The first half scoring was pretty tight even with a howling 5 goal wind going to the northern end. But for a lacklustre 3rd quarter by the Blues, the result could have been different.
Byron Sumner looks the real deal. Kicked the ball out of bounds a few times early, but got his mojo going the further the game went. Kicked a corker of a goal in the last quarter and has a blistering kick down of pace when needed.
Hopefully he can keep it going throughout the season.
Off season Power pickup, Colquhoun was busy, so he looks good in the middle to cover Battersby's injury for a while.
And but for a mop of hair, Mitch Crowden (#2) could be the clone of Brodie Atkinson in the same number. Same bullocking style.
Watch out for a kid by the name of Stephen Slimming (#39). He lives up to his name as he is a stick that could have blown over in the wind. But he has very good foot skills and decision making for a young fella.
We definitely missed Jack Osborne's body work in ruck, so hopefully he's back next week.
Encouraging signs, but no choccies!
