EAGLES
Woodville-West Torrens is set to welcome back midfield star Angus Rowntree for the match against Central at My Money House Oval on Saturday.
Rowntree, who has been recovering from a knee reconstruction since last year’s Second Semi-Final, has now played three games in the Reserves to build match fitness.
The 25-year-old is a major bonus for the Eagles’ midfield rotation nearing the major round, particularly in the absence of veteran Scott Lewis, who has a calf ailment.
Utility Joe Sinor and forward Jackson Press, who kicked eight goals from 19 disposals in his last Reserves outing, have also been added to the 23-man squad.
Much-improved Chris Hall must prove his fitness after having a minor ankle injury in his last game against Sturt in Round 18.

Even at Elizabeth it will be a big win if we can do it.The Eagles are clearly the best side in the competition and they have been all season.

with all the byes this year its hard to say how your club is going to come out. I would think the eags will win by 5 goals but at home I don't know what to expect from the dogs.

Re: Round 20: Centrals v Eagles - Saturday 13 August @ My Money House Oval
Today we saw why the Eagles are rightful flag favourites. They didn't play their best football, but did what was required to get the job done.
Centrals had an outstanding opening quarter and a half, having a 4 goal lead in this time. The Eagles then scored some junk time goals late in the 2nd quarter to reduce the margin to less than a kick and gain the lead in the third quarter. Centrals had a late charge late in the third, before the Eagles dominated the last quarter, recording a good 25 point win.

An astute eagles man told me tonight that they were fully tested today, a good hit out for both teams then I would think

Centrals were a really fast team taking screamers and moving the ball quickly ,
I think there were a lot of frees paid yesterday mainly to Centrals but saying that a goal in the third to Centrals was by a free kick then another then one in front of goal .
If they'd paid them both ways no issues just seems one umpire wasn't paying it to both teams .
Really bad when a Centrals player goes into a marking pack and throws one co captain of the Eagles into a dogs player who got a free for in the back .
But highlighting those I must be fair Centrals players where hitting Eagles players hard in packs I think Ainger came off second best in the first term .
Also throughout the day Centrals players were attacking Poole and Boyd I'm assuming that was old school to get them fighting it worked for the Eagles to get free kicks .
A lot happened in front of me on the wing any clue what Poole said to the umpire to stop a ball up and Centrals were awarded a free kick .
And honestly all those years it took to beat the dogs out there that's two wins in two games at Elizabeth that is not a normal year against the dogs

It isn't rocket science is it.
Well a Facebook SANFL page for weeks saying they were and wanted to thrash the Eagles
being over 50 and growing up around greyhound race tracks favourites don't always win
I ain't flirting with the footy gods I don't want to anger them with being over the top .
the eagle may finish top but I ain't walking under a ladder
but seeing waddaymean is here the crowd at Elizabeth was way down any clue the side I was on was basically all Eagles
the crowd figure was 22 short for the free raffle perhaps seeing you go on and on could tell us why the dogs pull less than 2000
