Was always going to be a huge challenge against a very good team with the likelihood of Jansen,Edmead not playing & Holman suspended it is going to be even tougher.

EAGLES
Woodville-West Torrens will be boosted by the return of star midfielder Jared Petrenko for the match against Central at Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval on Sunday.
A late withdrawal last Saturday after injuring his back in the warm-up, Petrenko has been named on a four-man extended interchange bench to face the Bulldogs.
The former Crow has been joined in the 22-man squad by potential debutant Ethan Haylock, the son of Eagles great Gary Haylock, who played 204 matches for Woodville and the Eagles between 1984 and 1994.
Originally from PHOS Camden, Ethan Haylock – who measures in at 177cm and 75kg – has progressed through the junior grades at Oval Avenue.
Dual premiership player Luke Jarrad will miss his first IGA League match since Round 16, 2012 after suffering a slight hamstring strain against Norwood last Saturday.
The Eagles will be looking to put in a strong performance as they host several past premiership players for their Premiers Day, which will chiefly honour the 2006 League premiership team.

Not really sure I understand the team selections the last 2 weeks, but then not detracting from Haylock's 1st game. Good luck to him.

Will be a huge win for us if we can get over the line the Eagles are a very good side and they dont lose at home very often.Hopefully we can put up a good show against the flag favourites.

Centrals the better team in the first quarter they put on a lot of pressure .
After 1/4 time Centrals kind of relaxed a great deal .
Eagles improved but still could improve more
Wundke kicked 6 or 7 goals he did go off in the last had I think 16 touches and ran to centre half back he even tried to run with the ball that's how far Centrals went off the boil

That effort was an absolute disgrace as usual Boyd had a point to prove and again he KILLED us even though Lairdy doesnt rate him it may pay next time we play them to actually stand him instead of letting him do what he likes.

That or Boyds groin has improved greatly
Haylocks son played well
Gaffney played well
Though the Eagles missed Luke Jarrad
Ainger had a down game
Obrian played a good game
The eldest Hayes played well
I guess the Eagles needed to prove they could play well

Re: Round 11: Eagles v Centrals - Sunday 12 June @ Maughan Thiem Hyundai Oval
Such a disappointing effort, especially after the relatively good first quarter. The second quarter was very ordinary by Centrals. Third quarter, not too bad. Not great, but we were keeping pace.
Then the last quarter. One of the most putrid efforts I've ever seen any Centrals side dish up. The Eagles turned it up a notch and Centrals just evaporated before our eyes.
Having said that, it's not exactly the end of the world. Centrals had been playing some pretty decent footy of late, and yesterday was a bit of a surprise. I recall Sturt doing similar to Centrals one long weekend in June 2009, and Centrals beat them in a Grand Final a few months later. Hopefully Centrals turn it around next week at Norwood.

Absolutely it is...waddayamean wrote:Is the coaching at Central current with the game ?
Roy has adapted the Dogs game plan this year to suit the playing squad...
Nothing wrong with the coaching and some fresh faces have come in this season to add a different dimension...
Why do you ask?
