Good result for South today, not sure why we have so many home matches at the start of the season, yet we take points for today and ultimately that is what counts.

WEST ?
The WA 0-3 start is even worse when % is taken into account
31-16% is the current WA %
Effectively 0-4 as might have to beat other teams by 1 game to beat them home
In an 18 game Minor Round season , its almost season over
Going to have to win about 11 of the 15 remaining games to make finals
Too many players missing from the 2015 Premiership team
Any more injuries they might have to include Lee, Thiele , and First Blood into the starting 21
NORWOOD 2014
Just goes to show the incredible coaching effort of Ben Warrens premiership side in 2014
First season coach
About 12 + players missing from the 2013 Premiership team
Supplemented by just 2 recruits, James Allan and Callum Bartlett

I probably should have had a look at South before making such an outlandish call .. Still time for West to get their act together, but it's fast running out.

Panaioti Kokkinakis
Listed as playing in South Adelaides Seconds team
Would he be related to the talented tennis player Thanasi ?
Also noticed boundary umpiring in the seconds match was Steve Wilson
Steve is umpired a fair bit in League football
Was the boundary umpire when NA played NW , the day Eleni Glouftsis umpired her first match in the SANFL

Sturt at Richmond, Eagles for ANZAC Day, bye and then Port.
Might be 0-6 for the Blood and Tars?

We certainly need to get some players fit and on the park.
As well as playing better.

You left the ground early Lee .... Like a bull out of a gate !
People talking about South only winning due to 3 home games. I find it interesting as we have always had a poor home winning percentage.
I have always felt more confident playing away from our ground as we seem to win (last year Prospect, Unley , Glenelg, Elizabeth all wins)
South were very good. Still some improvement needed as I thought we got a bit "cute" with the ball at times.
West I thought looked very "flat" and unfit. Did not seem to have the hungry in them to respond to Souths brutal attack on the ball.
Eddy 8 goals (outstanding) , Liddle , Bass , Veide , Tarak R .... My best for the day.
Tough test this week versus the Dogs out the other side of town.

Yes, I did leave very quickly, southee, for 2 reasons.
1 I was crook & couldn't do my usual role, so didn't hang around.
2 West were crook and couldn't perform, so I didn't hang around.
Seriously though, South were very good and will stay right up there this year.

i believe they are brothers
as for Steve Wilson, you will only see him umpiring in the reserves as the umpiring board (or whatever the term is) offered Steve a job in mentoring the young fellas coming through & that is what he is doing, nice guy is Steve

Another disappointing effort from the bloods. Our skills are barely at under 12 level at the moment. Need to lift big time as the season is very quickly slipping away.
Also struggling against teams with a lot of big bodies at the moment. Thankfully Sturt don't have as many as the crows, Glenelg or South do.
Feels like 2014 all over again with too many guys being underdone or not on the park at the beginning of the year.
Time to bounce back.
