Interesting article in the Herald Sun suggesting that discussions on an AFL Reserves League are at an advanced stage and that a proposal has been put forward for consideration.

From the article, "Bill Kelty — a former AFL commissioner and union heavyweight — has finalised a review of the pathways into the AFL, with the Herald Sun confirming that a return to a reserves league is one option being tabled by the AFL Commission".

i hope it happens but as the AFL told me in an email a couple of years ago (it's posted here somewhere) that it is way too expensive
