Looking at the preview at the top of the thread, that makes four straight weeks that CK has not tipped a losing team on the SANFL website/Sportsbeat.

really sad to see such lack of interest in the game apart from some diehards..more signs of general attitude about the league?

The money wasted on this game could
Have gone into some cleaver incentives to get families to their local sanfl game.

Re: 2015 SA v WA State Game Preview
Numerically speaking it should be harder to beat WA in the last 2 seasons of this millennium
2000-2013 There was a pool of 9 SANFL teams to select players from
2014-2015 There was a pool of 8 SANFL teams to select players from
Another factor that lessens the stock of SANFL players is the recent advent of the newest AFL teams Gold Coast and Greater Western Sydney
More AFL teams = more players needed from other Leagues
My opinion FWIW
I have excluded the AFL reserves teams
I think the SA standard of the 8 clubs has slipped to perhaps its lowest standard since Ive watched the SANFL in the last 2 seasons
This logically had to be with the import and export of talent
Will the standard improve ?
It probably should ?
Now that the Gold Coast /GWS squads are well and truly settled , there should start to be a surplus of wanna be AFL footballers looking for opportunities interstate
Lesser numbers required by the AFL = retention of existing pool of talent in SA as well
Footnote
I am not aware of how the Western Australian situation is affected by AFL interference and interventions

if they reduce the admission price they could get more people back, however when you lose 'customers' it is very hard to get them back into the routine of going, to the footy in this case

Michael Newton was injured in the state game
Who pays for the rehabilitation of the player?
Is it the SANFL/WAFL leagues ?
Or is the onus now on the Norwood Football Club to mend their player ?
